French Flower Brooch

We've been thinking spring!  No matter what time of year, this cool new brooch is perfect.  You will use seed beads and wire to fashion a beautiful pin using the classic French Wire technique.  The reulting flowers are lightweight and exquisitely intricate. 

This technique isn't hard.  Once you've learned how it works, you can design flowers and other flora right from your favorite boquets. 
Supplies Needed

- 15 grams Size 11o seed beads in petal color pre-strung on coordinating 26ga copper wire.
- 15 grams Size 11o seed beads in leaf color pre-strung on coordinating 26ga copper wire.
- 5 grams Size 11o seed beads in center color pre-strung on coordinating 26ga copper wire.
- Pin Back
- Green enmbroidery floss or silk thread, or pearl cotton or ribbon for wrapping your stem.

Note:  For your flower petals you will use just under 5 yards of wire.  For the leaves and center you will use less wire.  a dozen pack of 5 yard spools is available in our shop.  We also have 26ga sterling silver if you prefer.  Individual spools of wire may be avaiable at craft sto0res, but would probably measure about 40yards each.
