Product Description
We LOVE bead embroidery. If
you like to play with color and texture and are willing to 'go with the flow'
this will be a great project for you. Working a bead embroidered project is a
lot easier than it looks. You will be able to choose the type of project you start
in class. Try a bangle like the cuff shown here, or try a pendant, brooch, or
earrings. Heck! Lauren's first project was a light switch cover! Whatever you
choose, we'll help you make it a great sucess!
Class fee includes a choice
of textbook, The Art of Bead Embroidery by Heidi Kummli
and Sherry Serafini or Sherry Serafini's Sensational Bead Embroidery
- Optional Cabochon or anything with
a flat back for your focal pont. It must be smaller than the width of
your cuff
- Lacy’s Stiff Stuff
- E6000 Glue or Amazing
Goop Household glue – can find @ HomeDepot)
- Ultrasuede for Backing
- Nymo D thread or SoNo Thread
- Size 12 beading needle
- Size 10 short beading needle
- Assortment of Beads: small
pearls, seed beads size 15, 11, 8, 6, bugles beads, hex, triangles, discs,
etc.
- Cuff Blank
- sharpie marker in a color
that coordinates with your beads to dye the interfacing
You can get all of the
materials you need from our shop. Ultrasuede will be available in a few
simple colrs. If you want something wildo or different, you can get it
at a local fabric store.
